Guyson Corporation U.S.A. has announced it has partnered with HP to bring customers the MultiBlast3D, a blasting chamber tailored to post-process 3D printed parts for HP Jet Fusion 500/300 Series 3D printers. Prime applications for 3D-printed parts include the functional and aesthetic components for automotive, medical, and industrial manufacturers. Additive manufacturing and 3D printing usually leave traces and parts require a finishing step. Guyson’s MultiBlast3D blasting system is designed to remove any residual powder or imperfections, and has the ability to create and preserve a wide array of surface finishes for both cosmetic and/or functional purposes. It preserves colors with single use media delivery or processes batches with continuous flow.
Guyson’s MultiBlast3D is capable of processing parts for additive manufacturing methods, including: Selective Laser Sintering (SLS materials), Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM), Stereolithography (SLA), and Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS).
“This move to partner with HP and provide manufacturers with 3D finishing utilizing our MultiBlast3D blasting chamber is extremely beneficial for Guyson Corporation. Our company has always been a trendsetter—a reputation we earned by being one of the first companies to introduce robotic technology. This new partnership with HP continues to solidify Guyson’s position as an industry leader as manufacturers integrate 3D printing into their manufacturing process,” said Steve Byrnes, president.
The MultiBlast3D is extremely durable, compact, and designed to withstand decades of continuous use. A white neoprene liner protects the interior of the cabinet, while replaceable antistatic plastic sheets protect the viewing window. MultiBlast3D features optimized components and machine settings for high volume HP parts finishing, a large viewing window with ergonomic angle for best view, rapid dust removal, high-powered LED light panels, and it allows users to rapidly change from single use to continuous use media.
