A 72 × 72 × 72-inch blast cabinet with a turntable up to 64 inches in diameter is joined with a 6-axis robot that serves as a programmable nozzle manipulator. For most applications, the table is servomotor driven, and the robot controller coordinates its rotation or radial orientation as a 7th axis of robotic motion. In most all cases, the RB-72 is built as a pressure-blast system with one or more blast nozzles affixed to the end of the robot arm, however it can also be supplied as a suction-blast machine with one or multiple blast guns.
