If the range of components to be processed in the blast system includes some that require a different mode of handling, it is sometimes possible to adapt one  robotic blast machine to perform multiple dissimilar tasks. In this example, a removable powered roller assembly for processing long hollow-shafted parts can be mounted as needed on the servomotor-driven turntable that is regularly used for blasting disk and ring components, thereby making a second, dedicated machine unnecessary.
