In the final week of Guyson Corporation’s fiscal year, as the manufacturing team is putting the finishing touches on machines that are shipping in May, Steve Byrnes, President of the company, asked employees to pause for a few minutes, reflect on the past year and look ahead to the future.
“We have seen our best year yet, in regards to machine sales,” Byrnes told the group, “and, thanks to all of our customers, the future for Guyson and robotic blasting looks bright. I am enthused with the number of high-profile companies that have recognized Guyson as the number one choice when it comes to automated and robotic machines.”
Steve pointed out that the company not only won significant new business from existing customers in familiar parts of the surface treatment marketplace, but that orders also came from previously inactive industries, where leading-edge OEMs and top-rank service providers embraced robotic blasting for the first time to solve problems on the surface of components and improve their manufacturing processes.
“We are starting out our new fiscal year with a backlog of orders, including several large robotic blast machines. Guyson’s commitment to our customers – to provide the most advanced and highest quality machines on the market with the lowest cost of operation – is the fundamental reason we have seen this jump in sales,” Byrnes went on to explain.
“Looking ahead, as Guyson International celebrates seventy-five years of continuous operation, our engineering team is currently working on some exciting new options for our machines that will eliminate off-line inspection operations and that will further advance the verification and documentation of blast process parameters. I am confident that our latest developments in automated tool-changing systems, available exclusively on Guyson robotic blast machines, will be of great value to customers who are looking for automated finishing cells that operate unattended.”
